Where it comes from

The format has no tradition behind it and no name in any school, which is unusual on this list. The technique

The oil technique, unchanged: long strokes with the flat of the hand and the forearm, even pressure, generous oil, and continuous contact through the transitions. Skin contact is more constant than in a clothed session simply because there is no fabric interrupting it, and the tempo is generally a little slower for the same reason. On a bed, with her towels underneath, and warm enough in the room that neither of you notices the temperature at any point.

What to expect

Everything begins as the oil session does, with the room warmed and the towels down. The difference is settled before anything starts rather than during, which is the point of booking it by name: nobody has to raise it halfway through. With a couple and one therapist she alternates between you as she would in any oil booking. The session runs to the hour it was booked for, ends without ceremony, and leaves the same absence of aftermath as the rest of the oil formats: towels, a warm room and nothing that needs attention before morning.

Who it suits

A middle evening of a reunion visit. A couple who know what they want the hour to be and would rather say it when booking than hint at it later. Any room warm enough to be comfortable. It does not suit a room the heating cannot lift, and it is not a different service from the oil session for anyone who is looking for one.

What it is good for

It removes a small negotiation from the beginning of an hour, and small negotiations are what make a first session feel like an appointment. For a couple on a short visit, where the evening has to work the first time, booking the register you want by name rather than hoping to reach it is the more reliable route.

A therapist each doubles those: 720 euros for an hour, 1,080 for ninety minutes and 1,440 for two hours. A single guest is 180 for an hour and 270 for ninety. An hour works here, as it does in the oil formats, because nothing is spent on setting up.
